The committee are always looking to recruit new members to assist with maintaining the facilities, helping with administration, fundraising, new projects etc. If you are interested in getting involved in the running of Barna Sports Park to please consider joining our committee and contact us at barnasportspark@gmail.com

The more volunteers we have, the more ambitious projects we can adopt to develop the facilities for the future and it is a great way of getting to know people in the local community.

The Courts

Barna Sports Park's tennis facilities comprises of five high quality tennis courts. We have three state-of-the-art polymeric surfaced tennis courts with integrated basketball courts. In a separate enclosure, there are also two brand new textile surfaced courts.

the playground

'Lios na NnÓg' playground was officially opened in January 2015 following four years of fundraising, hard work and negotiation by a group of a voluntary group. The dream of creating a Children’s Playground in Barna was brought to reality with team work, fundraising and, crucially, the support of Barna Co-Op and the Leader programme allocating 100K in funding to this project. The balance of 40K was raised within in the community by the voluntary committee.

Our playground is testimony to community spirit, to people coming together and being committed to doing something positive in their community.
